Bob Dimmitt has over 40 years of investment banking and management experience.

Since joining Scott-Macon in 1984, Mr. Dimmitt has led merger and acquisition assignments for clients operating in a broad range of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, service, automotive and chemicals. Mr. Dimmitt has also been involved in many of the firm’s capital raising assignments, reflecting his earlier career in commercial and merchant banking with the London-based Schroder Group and Hartford National Bank. Mr. Dimmitt has also been active in the firm’s general advisory practice providing advice and counsel on valuation, capital structure and bankruptcy and workout strategies. Mr. Dimmitt’s clients have included large global corporations such as Novartis, Foster Wheeler, SKW and Prudential Securities as well as many family-owned and closely-held companies. Mr. Dimmitt is also involved in the day-to-day management of firm operations and has co-managed the firm’s direct investment portfolio of companies.

Mr. Dimmitt is a graduate of Hobart College (B.A.) the University of Connecticut (M.A. – Economics) and the Columbia University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.).
