September 2008Sequa, a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, sold Warwick to Close Brothers Group.
At the time of acquisition, Warwick consisted of two separate businesses, a specialty chemical manufacturer and a broad network of niche chemical distributors based across Europe and Asia.
Close Brothers Private Equity backed the management buyout of chemicals business Warwick International from U.S. parent Sequa Corporation, owned by The Carlyle Group.
