Sale of Westech Building Products ULC by Westlake Chemical Corporation

Scott-Macon Group, Inc. Advises Westlake Chemical Corporation on the Sale of Westech Building Products ULC to Trusscore, Inc.

July 2021

Westlake Chemical Corporation, a global manufacturer and supplier of petrochemicals, polymers and building products headquartered in Houston, Texas (“Westlake”) has sold Westech Building Products ULC (“Westech®”) to Trusscore, Inc. (“Trusscore”).

Westech®, based in Calgary, Alberta, which began in 1979 as Engineered Profiles, Ltd., is a leading producer of PVC extruded profiles and custom shapes for the windows & doors and other PVC building materials industries. In 1984 it offered the first fully welded casement systems to window fabricators. As market conditions dictated, new systems were added to meet the growing demands for maintenance free, energy efficient, vinyl windows. In addition to its core window and door systems, Westech® produces various PVC building products including walls, panels, dock and deck.

Trusscore, based in Palmerston, Ontario, is a material science company focused on developing sustainable building materials. Trusscore makes a range of products suitable for multiple uses, products that install faster than existing alternatives and with a durable finished appearance. Applications include garages and workshops, commercial projects, including hospitality venues, restaurants, offices and agricultural applications including barns, indoor grow rooms, animal containment facilities and rooms that require a crisp, clean, long-lasting finish.
