Mr. McMurchy has more than 25 years of professional experience advising commercial banks, specialty insurance and diversified financial service companies in mergers and acquisitions, valuations, fairness opinions, strategic alternatives and financial restructuring. He has executed domestic, international and cross-border transactions with a combined deal value of more than $30 Billion. Mr. McMurchy has acted as financial advisor to company management teams and Boards of Directors, Special Committees, and/or principal shareholders in assessing, analyzing, and recommending strategic and financial alternatives and opportunities.

Most recently, Mr. McMurchy served as a Managing Director and led the Financial Institutions Group at Dresner Partners. Prior to Dresner, Mr. McMurchy was a Managing Director in Financial Institutions at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin and, prior to Houlihan, Keefe, Bruyette and Woods. Mr. McMurchy has advised public and private clients on transactions ranging from $50 million to $500 million. He has led merger and acquisition transactions for major domestic and global financial services and insurance companies, as well as advised on debt and equity transactions, fairness opinions, strategic alternatives and restructurings. His clients have included commercial banks, diversified financial services companies, specialty property and casualty insurance companies in the personal/commercial; mortgage/title; and financial guaranty insurance segments.

Mr. McMurchy holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Arts (Magna Cum Laude) in Economics from Harvard University.
